Nearly 25,000 homes in southeastern Queensland found themselves lacking electricity on Monday morning after severe thunderstorms impacted the area, producing strong winds hitting over 100 km/h.

Victoria's Weather Woes
Meanwhile, around one thousand households in Victoria also encountered power outages after the metropolitan area saw its wettest day in over 500 days.
Emergency response teams responded to over five hundred requests for assistance across the area, primarily for structural issues but also for collapsed vegetation and flooding.
